OPEN ENROLLMENT, FEBRUARY 1 THROUGH FEBRUARY 28

OPEN ENROLLMENT STUDENT TRANSFER PROCESS

 

The Open Enrollment transfer process for the 2018-2019 school year is between Thursday, February 1 and Wednesday, February 28, 2018. Open Enrollment is the transfer process by which resident students of HUSD may attend a non-boundary school that has space to accept students who do not live in that attendance area. Open Enrollment is not used for transfer between different school districts.

 

Open Enrollment Request Forms will be available from the Child Welfare & Attendance page on the district website www.husd.us/registration. Fully completed transfer request forms should be turned into the student’s HUSD school or at the Child Welfare and Attendance (CWA) Office, room 31 at 24823 Soto Rd. Please complete the entire form and turn it in no later than Wednesday, February 28, 2018.

 

The schools projected to have some space available in certain grades and programs to accept students for the 2018-2019 school year will be listed on the district’s CWA webpage. 

 

Open Enrollment requests are approved only to schools and grade levels where there is space available. When there are more requests than available spaces at a school, a random unbiased lottery will be used to select students and to establish a waiting list should space become available.
